The Association brings together municipalities and cities across the Republic of Srpska and serves as a platform for cooperation, exchange of good practices, advocacy, and capacity building for local governments.
WHAT ABOUT YOUR EXPERIENCE WITH EU-FUNDED PROJECTS?
The Association has extensive experience in implementing and participating in EU-funded and international cooperation projects. It has been involved in initiatives related to local governance, environmental protection, energy efficiency, digitalisation, capacity building, and cross-border cooperation, working closely with municipalities, public institutions, civil society organisations, and international partners.
WHAT DOES AMCRSs WORK FOCUS ON?
The Association of Municipalities and Cities of the Republic of Srpska represents and supports all local governments. Its work focuses on strengthening local governance, improving municipal services, facilitating knowledge exchange among municipalities, and enhancing the capacity of local authorities to address environmental, social, and economic challenges.

The Association brings extensive experience in working with local governments and public utility service providers. Through its network of municipalities, it contributes expertise in local governance, stakeholder engagement, capacity building, policy dialogue, and the dissemination of good practices.
WHAT MOTIVATED YOU TO ENGAGE IN WATERVILL?
WATERVILL addresses challenges that are highly relevant to many municipalities in the Republic of Srpska, especially those located in rural and mountainous areas. We joined the project to strengthen local capacities for sustainable water supply management, exchange knowledge with Mediterranean partners, identify innovative solutions to water-related challenges, and contribute to improving the resilience and quality of water services for local communities.

WHAT DO YOU FIND MOST EXCITING ABOUT THE PROJECT?
The most exciting aspect of WATERVILL is the opportunity to collaborate with partners from different Mediterranean regions and jointly develop practical solutions for sustanable water supply systems.
